What is Triphala Powder?

Triphala translates to three fruits: Natural Amla or Amalaki Fruit, also known as Indian Gooseberry (Emblica officinalis), Natural Bibhitoki Fruit (Terminalia belerica), and Natural Haritaki Fruit (Terminalia chebula) in equal parts. These fruits are sundried and then powdered together to form this Ayurvedic herbal mixture

Flavor Profile:

Triphala is sweet, sour, spicy, bitter, and astringent; the only taste not present in its flavor profile is salty. It is usually consumed mixed in water or milk.

Triphala Tea

Things you’ll need:

• ½ teaspoon of Triphala powder
• 1 Glass Of Hot Water

To The Kitchen:

• Bring the water to a boil in a pan.
• Mix in the Triphala powder in hot water.
• Strain the tea to catch errant pieces.
• Let sit for five minutes before consuming.

Green Smoothie with Triphala Powder

Things you’ll need:

• One teaspoon of Triphala powder
• Two handfuls of spinach
• One fresh banana, sliced
• ½ cup of frozen pineapple
• ½ cup of frozen mango
• One cup of milk of your choice

To The Kitchen:

• In a blender, put all the ingredients together and blend until smooth.

Triphala Moon Milk

Things you’ll need:

• One cup of Almond milk
• ½ teaspoon of Triphala powder
• One teaspoon of organic maple syrup
• ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (grind to a powder)

To The Kitchen:

• Gently warm the almond milk.
• Add Triphala, maple & nutmeg.
• Whisk and serve
